BETWEEN LAND AND SEA

A thematic extension of Betsy Ross got the Blues through the use of indigo, the piece more specifically investigates the purpose of a nation state and the implications for its constituents. The text is an excerpt from the following poem, part of the collection Composition:
The flag was flown at the Knockdown Center in Queens, NY June 29th - July 13th as part of Philip von Zweck's Temporary Allegiance. The project provides a platform to reconsider the flag as a symbol of belonging, loyalty, and identity.
