24 VIEWS is a multivalent project that uses US Census data to interrogate the past, present, and future impact of racial categorization. 24 VIEWS is so named for the twenty-four censuses conducted thus far. The project began with a longitudinal drawing series that transformed into a community based workshop, and has expanded into an online exhibition available at 24views.org.

24 VIEWS was supported by University of Nevada, Las Vegas’s Department of Art and is funded in part by the Forgotten Song Foundation Research Award and a grant from Nevada Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Special thanks to Census Partnership Specialist Arlene Alvarez, former CCSD educator Dr. Averill Kelley, and Vicki Richardson and Marylou Parker of Left of Center Gallery in North Las Vegas.
